Apurina Awiri Rapé – Tobacco-Free (Mild Variant)

If you're looking for our stronger Awiri, you can find it here: Stronger Awiri – Jungle Love

This is a very mild variant of Awiri Rapé from a different source than usual. It’s not as strong as our preferred blend, but it still carries a gentle uplifting energy and a subtle connection to nature. Ideal for those who prefer very mild rapé experiences or are just beginning their journey.

What is Rapé?

Rapé (pronounced hape) is a traditional shamanic tool used by various South American tribes, especially in Brazil and Peru. It’s a powdered blend of plants such as tree bark, seeds, or ash, blown into the nostrils through a pipe—Tepi (used to serve another) or Kuripe (used for self-application).

Each tribe has its own sacred formula. Women typically gather the plants, and the mixing is performed as a ritual by the tribal healer, often tailored to the individual or occasion. The main aim is grounding, clearing negative thoughts, and reconnecting with nature.

This Blend

Made by the Apuriña tribe in Brazil, this tobacco-free, ash-free rapé consists only of dried leaves—primarily the Awiri plant. Traditionally, Awiri is considered to bring joy and is seen as a "cousin" to tobacco. Its effects may include a mild cleansing sensation, followed by meditative calm, relaxation, and a heightened ability to perceive beauty. Some users report relief from depressive moods or anxious states.

Why No Tobacco?

While tobacco in rapé is grounding and energetically cleansing, it can also be addictive. In our experience, that risk is real and common. For that reason, we’ve chosen to offer only tobacco-free rapé, to support your connection to this sacred medicine without the downsides of addiction.
